QuickBooks may not be able to backup important financial data because of the "Intuit Data Protect Has Stopped Working" error, which is frequently caused by out-of-date software, firewall interference, improper permissions, or problems with internet connectivity. You can fix this by running QuickBooks as an administrator, updating Intuit Data Protect, checking internet settings, allowing IDP past the firewall, fixing the Microsoft.NET Framework, or doing a fresh installation.
