NEXT MED 2023 CALL FOR PROPOSALS Succeeding the ENI CBC MED programme, the Interreg NEXT MED is the third generation of one of the largest cooperation initiatives implemented by the European Union across borders in the Mediterranean area. By embracing a cooperation area that covers 15 Mediterranean countries and 200 million inhabitants, together with a 253 million EUR budget for the 2021-2027 period, Interreg NEXT MED aims at fostering smart, sustainable, fair development for all across the Mediterranean basin by supporting balanced, long-lasting, far-reaching cooperation and multilevel governance. In 2023, Interreg NEXT MED has launched its first Call for Proposals of the 2021-2027 cycle, for which it will lay down no less than 103 million euros.
