The 184th Convention of The Episcopal Diocese of Missouri The Convention for the Diocese of Missouri held its annual meeting November 3 rd and 4th. Members from around the Diocese gathered to celebrate our faith community. This year’s theme was, “I Love to Tell the Story.” Bishop Deon Johnson stated: “We have a story to tell and a fresh boldness in the telling. As we gather it is my hope that we, in the giving and receiving of stories, find our connection to the past, look for meaning and purpose in the present, and dream of a new-storied future.” Who goes to convention? Everyone in the Diocese is welcome to attend. Congregations elect lay delegates to represent their church. Lay delegates, along with clergy delegates gather to hear ministry news and reports, vote on elected diocesan offices and proposed resolutions, approve the 2024 diocesan budget, and enjoy worship and fellowship.
