ARTSCAPING - A CASE STUDY Artscaping is the practice of making art in nature, co-created by arts and wellbeing charity Cambridge Curiosity and Imagination with artists, children and young people. Artscaping has three key characteristics: to affect and be affected by arts, nature, place and space; to create a response from materials and feelings to express new ideas; and to enhance local environments in ways that bring joy. By prioritising ‘slowliness’ and nature connectedness, we make time for children’s creativity and thinking. Important, proactive behaviours that are good for our health, and our planet, are developed in parallel. OUR VISION We believe that creative time in nature should be an integral part of every child and young person’s life to foster good mental health and wellbeing. Working alongside education, research and mental health partners, we believe in the value of building preventative models to mitigate mental health inequality. © CCI 2023 Cambridge Curiosity and Imag
