TALE OF A CASTAWAY BY GABRIEL GARCÍA MÁRQUEZ Chapter I: The story of a Castaway Initially, sailor Luis Alejandro Velasco was in Mobile, Alabama, since the ship had to undergo eight months of repairs. One day while the months passed with his companions and his girlfriends they went to the cinema, and after seeing "El mutín de El Caín", a film in which there was a great storm, he hoped to set sail that night for Colombia, Luis Alejandro felt a strange I had a premonition that day since I had seen a movie where a ship was sinking and I was afraid the same thing would happen to them, but between jokes the anguish aroused went away and he decided that as soon as he returned to Cartagena, he would leave the Navy saying this will be my last trip.
