Since any of our favorite spots to vacation are closed or gave little notice as to availability, I wanted to share a few gems from my many years in New York for both New Yorkers and visitors who find themselves in the Big Apple this weekend.
One of the many great things to do on a low budget is visit what is really the best pizzeria in New York. ( NO, NO , NO , not Rays). If you’re visiting Manhattan then you can quickly jump to Brooklyn and visit L&B Spumoni Gardens Pizza. As we all know, the world’s best pizza is in Brooklyn, and no one does it better than L&B. There are so many great pies to choose from, but don’t forget to save room for at least one plain slice to experience true New York pizza. Better yet, see if you can do the three slice fold over John Travolta perfected in the opening scene of Saturday Night Fever as he walks out of L&B.
