Chronicle of the French revolution The French Revolution began in 1789, concretely the 14th of July. All began because that day the French took the Fortress of Bastille. This revolution was one of the most important in the world not only because of its political character, but because of its legacy for the rights of liberty, security and property. This new economic crisis affected especially the workers and the petty bourgeoisie. Thanks to this the Constituent and legislative assembly met. This was the national parliament of France during part of the Revolutionary period. On July 9, 1789, during the early phases of the French Revolution, the National Assembly was transformed into the National Constituent Assembly. On September 30, 1791, it was disbanded, and the Legislative Assembly took its place. In 1791 was the first constitution they received and is considered to be the most significant one.
