1 Motor Stirling Ing. Diego Proaño Estudiante: Erik Calvopiña Departamento de Ciencias Exactas Física, Universidad de las Fuerzas Armadas ESPE Extensión Latacunga, Latacunga, Ecuador E-mail: doproanio@espe.edu.ec ; eacalvopina1@espe.edu.ec (Recibido el 28 de enero; aceptado el 28 de enero) Abstract In this laboratory practice, the design and construction of a Stirling engine will be carried out that will allow us to analyze its structure and operation. This will be done based on the theory of the Stirling cycle and the Stirling engine that tells us that the Stirling engine is a type of heat engine. Its operation is based on the expansion and contraction of a gas. This gas is forced to move cyclically from a cold focus where it contracts to a hot zone where it expands and that the Stirling cycle is a compression and expansion cycle of a gas. Two levels of temperature are used that makes a net conversion of thermal energy into mechanical work, we will also see that the Stirling engine is
