The lyro-epic poem “Varga and Gulsha” is one of the most famous works of Yusuf-i Meddakh. The first serious work over it was done by Ismayil Hikmet Ertalyan in 1940. As for as we know, the book by the prof. Kazim Kektekin is considered to be one of the latest works on the given theme. It is noted here that there exist many copies of mesnevi “Varga and Gulsha”and only eight of them reached us. Besides it, the author used only three of them in the text. As the basis was taken the copy of Bibliotheque Nationale. In the given article we’ll try to acquaint readers with the copy of the poem “Varga and Gulsha” which was found in Kastamonu. It was copied by Mustafa bin Muhammed in 1140 (on the Islamic Calendar), or on November 9, 1727 (on the Christian Calendar) in the divan “Kaymazlar” Ginolu district in Kastamonu province, (now this territory is between Chalalzeylin and Abana, including several yards.)
