In the fall issue of CZECH FILM, we focus on Czech films presented at big festivals in the busiest season of the year. While San Sebastian gives floor to Petr Václav’s long-awaited periodic drama Il Boemo, Venice Film Festival includes 5 Czech films in its programme – debuts by Michal Blaško (Victim) and Mihai Mincan (To the North) world-premiere in Orizzonti, short Darkening enriches Venice Immersive as the first Czech VR film, Cristina Grosan competes in Giornate degli Autori with Ordinary Failures and Karel Kachyňa’s The Ear returns in digitally restored version in Venice Classics.
