This publication has been prepared by European Metropolitan Authorities (EMA), the forum for leading politicians from Europe’s main cities and metropolitan areas. It illustrates the way in which European metropolises are leading the post-COVID recovery through the preparation and implementation of transformative metropolitan-wide projects linked to Next Generation EU funding. In total, the 22 projects collected are driven by 15 major European metropolitan areas and are expected to mobilise a total of €3.49 billion throughout the European Union.
