Dr. Ron. Canos, N.B.C.T Born and raised on the island of Guam, Dr. Ron Canos is a National Board Certified Teacher with over 20 years of experience in the Guam Department of Education. He is a former Guam Teacher of the Year (2008), GovGuam Magpro Award winner, and UOG Distinguished Alumni recipient. He currently provides arts education to high school students at Simon A. Sanchez High School. He has guided and is most proud of his students’ winning entries which have garnered them national recognition through the Guam Congressional Arts Competition and Western Governors’ Arts Competition. Dr. Canos has submitted works to other local exhibits including the Isla Center for the Arts “Creative Hands” exhibit as well as exhibits at the Tumon Arts Gallery and the Guam Artists Exhibit (GAX).
