Come in silence, but we no longer know what to say to ourselves: so, come always, Lord. Come in solitude, but each of us is always more alone: so, come always, Lord. Come, Son of Peace, we are ignorant of what peace is: so, come always, Lord. Come to free us, we are always more a slave: so, come always, Lord. Come to console us, we are always sadder, so come, always, Lord. Come to find us, we are always more lost: so, come always, Lord. You who love us, come, for no one is in communion with his or her brother or sister if he or she isn’t in communion with you, Lord.
