In the middle of the table there is a bottle of wine. They express no feelings. The Card Players is one the first art pieces where the faces are expressionless. This series of paintings use geometric figures. Cezanne didn’t accept purely impressionist art. “We shouldn't be satisfied with memorizing the beautiful formulas of our illustrious predecessors.
