The passage of 1 John 5:7-8, is known as the Johannine Comma in the science of Textual criticism, which to the word says: "7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. 8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one."
The External Evidence.
The words of the verses highlighted in bold in this passage are not considered by modern "scholars" as authentic of the autograph, and have therefore been despised by the modern versions. The main argument is that it does not appear in the oldest manuscripts.
