Across the nation, the American national anthem starts every major baseball game. At the first note, people stand, sing, and place their hands over their hearts. Everyone experiences the national anthem together. In the 1976 film Rocky, Rocky Balboa (played by Sylvester Stallone) was a man in pursuit of a dream. The triumphant theme song “Gonna Fly Now” by Bill Conti energized people of all ages, cultures, and abilities. That music still lifts people to the very mountain- tops of their dreams.
