Collection and Non-Collection of Children Policy Statement of Intent: It is always best if Parents/Guardians are waiting outside before the end of session in the designated areas. However we at MIEC acknowledge that from time to time a Parent/Guardian will be unavoidably late to collect their child/ren. In the event where a child is not collected by an authorised adult at the end of the teaching session, we put into practice agreed procedures. These will ensure that the child/ren are cared for safely by an experienced and qualified member of staff who is known to the child. Aims: We ensure that every child under the age of 11, unless permitted by Parents, leaves the premises with an authorised Parent/Guardian. In the event where a child is not collected by an authorised adult, we will ensure that the child is left in the care of a reliable and qualified member of staff in order to help reduce
