As promised, I take time this Saturday afternoon to give you some feed-back on the second week of the Synod. Although we worked very hard, it seemed to pass quite quickly and some start a bit panicking and finding that three weeks are too short. We all know how it feels during a General Chapter! On Monday and Tuesday, we were in the small group, grappling with the text in Part 2 which is entitled “The discernment of the family vocation”. We stressed that this chapter is meant to help us Judge, according to the method see, judge and act, which we are following. This was a long text, interspersed with quotes from the Bible and from the Doctrine of the Church. It was quite heavy to plod our way through, and we did not manage to see all of it, in spite of the hard work done especially by some members of the group.
