"Sakhir is a benchmark for the medium- and hard-compound versions of the MICHELIN Pilot Sport. We will use Free Practice to evaluate the maximum temperature conditions for the medium option, as well as its resistance to the wear generated by the sand blown onto the track surface. Expect all the Hypercar teams to fit the hard compound for the start of the race, but it will be interesting to see when the ideal moment comes to switch to the medium without comprising either performance or consistency. Helping to identify that moment is part of the service Michelin Motorsport's engineers and technicians provide our partners. All this information will then be analyzed to help us prepare for the challenges we face in 2024 at venues like Qatar, Imola, Sao Paulo and Austin.
