Camera Journal As the sequence we were producing would only be 2 minutes long it was important for me to ensure I knew as many angles, shots and movements there were so when it would come to filming I would have an idea of what we could use and when we could use it. As a GCSE media student I had a fair idea of some shots and other media techniques I could use to allow the production to connote a number of emotions and ideas. However we had decided as a group that we wanted to try and push past the common ideas and themes by using a difficult subject as our film, so I knew we’d have to try new things to achieve this. When researching potential ideas, shots such as ‘lock-down’ shots and ‘focus pull’ shots seemed to create the sort of effect I was after as they allow the audience to know what’s going on, however not be able to really see it. Due to the nature of our film, it was obvious that these would work very effectively on an audience, hence my attempt to add them to final production
