Declaració de Perpinyà October 9th, 2020 Catalonia is immersed in a political conflict with the Spanish state because of our determination and continued will, endorsed at the polls, to exercise the right to self- determination. Our commitment to our democratic mandate, borne of a reiterated majority of citizens of Catalonia, has led the Spanish state to remove all three of us from public office. We have a democratic political project, that of the Catalan Republic, which we intend to reach through strict democratic and peaceful means. We are the representatives of a political and parliamentary majority that has never been afraid of revalidating popular support –by calling its citizens to the polls– when facing crucial decisions.
