Located in the heart of Europe and the centre of
Switzerland, Fribourg is loved for the beauty of its landscape,
its cultural life and its wide range of sporting activities. More
than 10’000 students are shaping the image of Fribourg and
creating a young and dynamic atmosphere.
The University of Fribourg is located on the border between
the German-speaking and the French-speaking parts of
Switzerland. It is the only bilingual university in Switzerland.
Our Faculty is unique in Switzerland for its multilingualism;
it offers courses in German, French and English. This
is also reflected in the internationality of its students and
teachers.
The study programmes offered at the Faculty SES include
economics, management, information systems and mass
media and communication research. Our professors,
researchers and PhD students introduce state-of-the-art
scientific knowledge into their teaching and thus ensure the
excellence of our study programmes.
