Cause:
The one that triggers the activation issue is the Windows Vista Service Pack 2
evaluation copy because it is expired already.
Resolution:
Uninstall the service pack 2 Evaluation copy in Windows Update “KB948465”
Computer will simply restart and uninstall the service pack 2 evaluation copy.
Once computer restarts normally go to windows update and then click check
for updates and it will automatically download everything even the service
pack 2 full version
NOTE:
If the service pack 2 full version will not be downloaded thru the Update then
download it manually using this link:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=891ab806-2431-4d00afa3-99ff6f22448d&displaylang=en&displaylang=en
If the computer asks you to activate, activate normally either through the internet or
phone.
(If activation over internet or phone does not work, execute the following steps)
1) Click Start button.
2) Type: CMD.exe into the 'Search programs
