Dr. Quentin Johnson Dr. Quentin R. Johnson was appointed to serve as the sixth president of Southside Virginia Community College (SVCC), beginning July 1, 2019. Dr. Johnson is a visionary and strategic servant leader with more than 30 years of senior level administrative experience. Dr. Johnson has significant experience managing organizational change through collaborative strategic planning and strategic enrollment management initiatives. And, he is passionate about students and student success! During his tenure at SVCC the college has experienced consistent enrollment growth, expanded workforce programs, and has brought significant external resources into the college. Prior to assuming the presidency at SVCC, Dr. Johnson served as Vice President of Student Support Services at Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC).
