Dr. Sarah Barlow For over 14 years, Dr. Sarah Barlow has been a dedicated leader at Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC). She currently holds the position of Provost and Vice Chancellor for Workforce and Student Development, where she provides strategic direction for academic programs, workforce training, student success initiatives, institutional research and effectiveness, athletics, and marketing and public relations. Her leadership has played a key role in aligning BRCC’s academic offerings with industry needs, expanding student support services, and fostering institutional growth. Dr. Barlow earned her BA and MA in English from the University of Toledo before pursuing her Ph.D. in English at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, which she completed in 2010. She began her tenure at BRCC as a faculty member in the English and Humanities Department, where she quickly became a Faculty Senate committee chair, and faculty mentor.
