Dear Friends,
We hope all of you are good in health and well in your communities. In this newsletter we will speak
about the friends of ATD from two countries, DR Congo and Rwanda, and how they inspired other
ATD members.
Why is it important for the members of ATD to meet one another?
In our movement of fighting against extreme poverty it is very important to share our vision and ideas
among each other, and to learn from one another. In our tradition we often do this in our communities.
ATD also gathers people from different classes, different regions, new and old friends, especially so
that we can listen to the thoughts and ideas of the poorest people.
In 2010 three members of the friends of ATD Congo came to Tanzania to be together with us in the
celebration of the International Day of the Family. They gave this testimony:
