ORU Biomedical Engineering & Healthcare Internship Collaboration Between College of Health Sciences & School of Engineering The Biomedical Engineering & Healthcare Internship accepts 10 ORU Biomedical & Healthcare Administration Students and 5 ORU students in other majors to participate in this practical hands-on internship from January to May during the Spring semester. The ORU Biomedical Engineering & Healthcare Internship is an unpaid internship spanning one semester, where hands-on experience is gained in safety-checking medical equipment in a health system, and learning how the healthcare system works. Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare Administration and other majors (e.g. Pre-Med, Nursing, Business, Hospital Chaplains) are encouraged to apply. The mission is to provide Biomedical & Healthcare Administration students practical training and knowledge on how the healthcare system works both in the hospital setting and as a whole, which encompasses new biomedical technologies.
