A series of town hall meetings is being held this month to present information on the financial, capacity and enrolment issues the school district is currently facing. The meetings will include a presentation on the options being considered by the district to deal with those difficulties. There will also be time for people to provide feedback on those options and make alternative suggestions. Enderby school trustee Chris Coers said the school district must use its facilities differently and find financial savings going forward. A long-term facilities plan released last spring presented many recommendations that the board was not completely satisfied with so a rural schools committee was formed to further explore the options.
