Temperature tolerant mutant strains of Ectomycorrhizal fungus Tricholoma lascivum (Fr.) Gillet were isolated from
the pileus tissue of basidiocarps collected from host tree-coconut found in Maharashtra with the help of physical and
chemical mutagens treatments. The effect of the chemical and physical mutagens (EMS and UV radiation) on the
growth, acid phosphatase, alkaline phosphatase activity and the protein content of T. lascivum were studied.
Keywords: Tricholoma lascivum (Fr.) Gillet, TlW, TlB, ECM fungus, Mutagens, UV radiation, EMS.
