Delta Airlines’ target audience includes all travelers.
This particular commercial emotionally appeals more to traveling
families, possibly on vacation, due to the references to Walt
Disney’s Peter Pan. I also wanted to appeal to anyone with the
sense of imagination and adventure that the memory of Peter Pan
inspires. No specifics of the company are mentioned, but it
emphasizes that Delta offers flights. The main emphasis of the
commercial is the feeling I am associating with Delta. The
company’s past commercials have been more serious and adultfriendly ways of conveying inspiration. I wanted to introduce a
more childlike approach, nostalgic to many adults, that
reconnects them to the miracle of flight.
