Unemployment:
The Labor Department released data on employment and
unemployment statistics in Puerto Rico for the month of March 2010 which
reflected an unemployment rate of 15.9 %, which represented an increase of
0.1 percentage point when compared to the previous month ( March 2010,
15.8 %). The number of people unemployed for the month of March 2010 was
207,000 . It represents 2,000 more unemployed as compared to February
2010 was 205,000 . As for the figures on employment in Puerto Rico for the
month of March 2010 filed a total of 1 , 094.000 , a reduction of 2,000
employees .
This social problem of unemployment leads to consequences and moral and
personal deterioration , such as examples :
a) Depressed mood for most of the time.
b ) Decreased interest or remarkable capacity for pleasure.
c ) Insomnia or hypersomnia.
d ) psychomotor agitation or retardation.
e) Fatigue or loss of energy.
f ) Feelings of worthlessness or guilt .
