ELIGIBILITY GUIDELINES AND APPLICATION FORM 1. What is The HOPE Fund? The Hats Off Positive Endeavour (HOPE) Fund was established on 01 February 2006 by co-founders David Bermingham and Simon O’Connor, to provide support to people living with HIV (PLHIV) in Queensland, who are in need. The Fund provides small grants of goods and services to PLHIV, who are experiencing financial hardship, have a demonstrated material need and/or are looking to improve their lives. The fund is an initiative of Oz Showbiz Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and Queensland Positive People (QPP), in partnership with the Queensland Council for LGBTIQ Health Services, formerly known as the Queensland AIDS Council (QuAC). A representative from each organisation make up the grants committee, which makes decisions on the outcome of each application. The HOPE Fund does not receive any government funding. All funds raised are donated through proceeds from World AIDS Day, community fundraising events, as well as private donat
