If standing in line at Starbucks with less than average service is not your cup of tea, Mama
Mocha’s has got you covered. Their motto “love people, drink coffee” encompasses exactly what
this place is about.
“They live their motto up to the max,” said Anthony Jones, a frequent customer at Mama
Mochas.
Vintage couches that line the wall of Mama Mocha’s are inhabited by students with laptops
studying for their next exam. A line of college students, young professionals, mothers, fathers and
the elderly forms behind the counter.
Customers swipe their card on the iPad located at the counter and patiently wait the three to
seven minutes it takes baristas to customize each and every drink.
Behind the counter is a young man with a t-shirt press making neon t-shirts with Mama
Mocha’s stamped across them. “He’s here every now and then,” said Jones, “doesn’t talk much
