APRIL 14 - 27, 2025 UHealth SoLe’ Miami and LEVEL THREE VENUE feature 2025 County Preview with Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, David Whitaker and Dr. Paula Hopkins BY ELAINE ADLER eatured speakers at a recent Aven- F tura Marketing Council/Chamber of Commerce (AMC) Chairman’s Roundtable luncheon were Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau President and CEO David Whitaker, and Miami-Dade Beacon Council’s Executive Vice President, Dr. Paula Hopkins. AMC Chairman Gary Pyott opened the meeting to introduce Aventura Mayor Howard S. Weinberg, Esq. for welcoming remarks and a special announcement about former Aventura Vice Mayor Billy Joel. A spontaneous standing ovation for Billy Joel received a standing ovation for receiving an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from Barry University for a lifetime of “giving back” with another former Aventura Vice Mayor, Dr. Linda Marks, presenting him with a stethoscope to signify his new title as “Dr. Billy Joel”.
