A Doll’s House
By: Henrik Ibsen
Major Characters: Nora Helmer, Torvald Helmer, Dr.
Rank, Mrs.
Christine Linde, Nils Krogstad.
Setting: The Helmer House, mainly the living room.
Nora: Is very generous with the money she has been given
as can be seen on Page 2, She seems to love to talk about
her life a lot and kind of revolves things around herself as
shown in Act 1, Scene 2.
She is also smarter than it seems
when she comes to realize she has been a “doll” all her
life as seen in Act 3, Scene 3.
Climax: The climax is when we find out what Nora did
that was so bad that she is hiding it from her husband; and
the suspense building up to that is when Nora and Mrs.
Linde are talking about their lives a while after Mrs.
Linde comes to town.
