Heating Things Up!
If you have ever thought about the science of heat, you have thought about thermodynamics. This
natural science branch focuses on how heat is converted into energy and subsequently work.
Thermodynamics uses variables visible to the naked eye like temperature or pressure to describe
materials and radiation then their relation is explained along with any laws that govern how they
change over time.
Although thermodynamics is considered a branch of natural science, it plays a role in several topics in
science in general as well as engineering. Its application includes engines, chemical reactions, black
holes and so on. Not to mention that the results of thermodynamic calculations play a significant role
in physics, chemistry, chemical engineering, aerospace engineering, biomedical engineering, cell
biology and materials science.
Within thermodynamics, a considerable amount of the data from experiments can be summarized
with four laws so we will only mention the first two
