REVIEW OF THE PROJECT ENHANCING LEGAL SUPPORT TO PRESS CARTOONISTS IN THE DIGITAL AGE Osama Hajjaj (Jordan) Thanks to the financial support of the Global Media Defence Fund (GMDF) administered by UNESCO and the Isocrates Foundation, Cartooning for Peace launched a new project - «Enhancing legal support to press cartoonists in the digital age» - from September 2022 to March 2024 whose objective was to encourage the sharing of experience and dialogue about the challenges that accompany the publication of press cartoons online in order to draw lessons, recommendations and understand the way in which the law can protect threatened cartoonists.
