My name is Julia Robertson I work for a non-profit, Dreams For Kids (DFK) in DC whose mission is
to empower young people of all abilities through dynamic leadership programs and life-changing activities
that inspire them to fearlessly pursue their dreams and compassionately change the world.
To advance our goals we are working with Seed of Thought, an Australia based non-profit with
similar goals to put on a new campaign called, “Street Dreams.
” This radical and revolutionary awareness and fundraising campaign will send one passionate man, Alex Petrou, cycling across the country to
raise awareness for the 1.
5 million children currently living in poverty in the U.
S.
Petrou has no previous
training other than an incredible passion for the cause.
He will ride from Los Angeles to New York in two
months, sleeping in homeless shelters and stopping at schools and universities to educate the country on
the increasing number of youth homelessness in the U.
S.
