Meeting – 3 good tips!
Daughters of Utah Pioneers from Payson to Lehi were invited to
the DUP Orem Camp on October 22, 2012 for a special program
featuring Scott M.
Haskins, Art restorer who does painting
conservation for DUP in SLC and for the LDS Church.
He is also
the author of the national preservation manual best seller, How To
Save Your Stuff From A Disaster which is recommended by
small historical museums organizations, genealogists and mothers!
Daughters of Utah Pioneers in SLC has been working with Scott
since 1980 and the paintings he has worked on were well known
and interesting: Important pioneer paintings by CCA
Christensen were explained (as the one in the photo below) and
several portraits of Brigham Young were seen and the inside
scoop their preservation was discussed during the 45 minute
presentation.
