edifice was built in May 1899.
Its elegant Beaux-Arts
façade forms an eclectic amalgam: buff sandstone walls
unite to create a neutral canvas that sublimely showcases
the sculpted entranceway and the richly decorated cornices.
Skillfully restored and renovated, the Lancashire can be
regarded as a reference in the art of accenting the heritage
decor of Montreal’s commercial architecture.
