News that Waterside Hill outside Dalry was to be the latest location for a Sitka plantation had provoked widespread local concern over the impact on amenity, wildlife, tourism and local heritage. Following two recent meetings between representatives from Dalry Community Council and Scottish Woodlands, including an extensive site visit, Scottish Woodlands have now agreed that there is potential to review aspects of the current planting scheme application, taking into account the many concerns that have been raised by local people.
