On Monday 5 October at 10am the CatStrand finally opened its doors again after almost nine months of renovations as a result of January’s devastating flood. The re-opening has been longawaited, but from day one locals and visitors alike have been flooding through the doors (if that is the right expression!) to welcome CatStrand back. The Visitors’ Book has been filling up with comments such as – “Absolutely wonderful to have CatStrand open again, I have missed you”, “So glad you are back and looking so good!”, “Wonderful to see you open again, I love coming here”, “This is a special place for me”, “Fabulous as always, we’ll certainly be back”. Tourists have already visited from all over Britain and as far afield as Australia, as always the overwhelming message from these visitors is how lucky we are to have such a facility as CatStrand in a small community such as ours. These messages and comments are very gratifying and make the hard grind of the last nine months worthwhile. The CatSt
