New Teom particle monitors
have gained all-important EU
equivalence status.
Jim Mills of UK Teom
distributor Air Monitors says
that two Thermo Fisher 1405
models have now completed
testing for European
equivalence designation and
have passed the stringent
tests for both PM10 and
PM2.
5.
The 1405F is the direct
replacement instrument for
the now obsolete Teom
FDMS 1400 model which is
used extensively around the
UK.
The 1405DF is a
dichotomous version of the
instrument capable of
measuring both PM2.
5 and
PM10 in one unit.
Mills says both systems
are “competitively priced”
and cost “much less than the
Teom-FDMS systems they
replace”.
He added: “They are much
simpler one piece units (the
old Teom was a three piece
unit), they have touch screen
displays and modern
electronics with simpler
design and greater reliability.
They are also smaller so can
be fitted into compact
shelters making them
deployable almost anywhere.
