more ligaments can be damaged.
An unnatural movement or a direct blow to the elbow can
cause a sprain.
The main symptoms for a sprained elbow are pain, discoloration, tenderness of
the elbow, and swelling.
Causes of Elbow Sprain
Some of the major causes for elbow sprain are falling on your out stretched elbow, forced
twisting of the elbow, and blows to the elbow.
According to the severity, elbow sprains are
divided into three grades: grade 1, grade 2 and grade 3.
If the sprain caused micro tearing of
the ligament or stretching of the ligament, then it is considered as a grade 1 sprain.
Sometimes
a mild tearing of the ligament will be caused along with a mild instability to the elbow joint.
