At KCTCS Higher Education Begins Here is not just a
slogan. In fact, nearly half of all undergraduates in the
Commonwealth attend a KCTCS college. We have a
three-pronged mission to be the primary provider of:
• college and workforce readiness
• transfer education
• workforce education and training
Although many students are seeking an associate’s
degree or plan to transfer to a four-year institution,
others are looking for shorter-term programs. The
idea that they can get in, get out and get to work
is appealing to many and sets KCTCS apart from
