This is the third time that Neil Simon’s The Odd Couple (Female Version) has been produced at the Theatre Guild of Ancon and that is important to emphasize: because it is well worn and beloved, like a cozy sweater that has been worn for many years. A beloved treasure that evokes good memories and hearty laughs. That is what The Odd Couple provides us: a very complete script and a cast of zany characters that soothes the audience in a predictable, heartfelt comedy.
We as the directors were given the opportunity to re-vamp this classic into a more dynamic, current comedy that could still resonate with our tried and true audience, but at the same time, lure the younger generation to this Neil Simon Classic.
This has been a most intensive, full throttle show and would not have been possible without the help of a myriad of capable, energetic, creative cast, crew and helpers! It has been a truly remarkable experience and we hope that the magic that we created rehearsal upon rehears
