Tom’s Sister
Once upon a time there was a boy called Tom. He lived in
a little village the mountains with his family. He loved
going to his Granny’s house on his own because he could
chat to his Granny and tell her all his problems. Tom was
a twin. He had a twin sister called Molly. People said that
Molly looked like an angel because she had a sweet face
and behaved beautifully in front of the adults.
Tom and Molly had a big dog whose name was Paddy.
Paddy went everywhere with the twins. He walked them
to school. He sat and waited outside the shops and hid
under the table at dinner time to eat their dinner when
their Daddy wasn’t looking.
But Molly had a secret. She could talk to Paddy. Really
talk to Paddy. No one understood Paddy like Molly. One
day she tried to explain it to Tom but he didn’t believe
her. He thought that it was lies. No one in the world can
communicate with animals.
One day when Molly was walking to school alone with
Paddy and she started to cry.
