Once you have your L-plates, it is time to start preparing to get your P1 license.
The first
step is to get a copy of “A Guide to the Driving Test” which is available on the RTA website
or at your local motor registry.
Make sure that you familiarize yourself with the contents
before you even climb into a car.
In order to qualify to take your P1 license test, you will have to meet the following criteria:
1) You must be at least seventeen years old.
2) Log Book – 120 hours of driving practice including 20 hours of night driving.
The logbook
must be signed by both you and your supervising driver – if you have been taking drivers
lessons Sydney, your instructor must sign for any hours spent with them.
3) You must have had your learner’s license for at least a year.
You need to book your test in advance either through your local motor registry, through the
national RTA call centre or online.
