TOURISM DIRHAM
Please note we have recently been advised by Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing
(DTCM) of the introduction of a Tourism Dirham charge to be applied to hotel guests, staying
in any type of hotel establishment, including hotels, hotel apartments, guest houses and holiday
homes within the Emirate of Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
This fee will be levied per occupied room or bedroom per night, it is not charged based on the
number of guests staying in a room, suite or villa.
The Tourism Dirham will be introduced from 31st March 2014 and will be collected from all
guests by the hotels upon check-out. Hotel establishments will provide guests upon check-in a
notification stipulating the introduction of the Tourism Dirham Fee and its collection upon
check-out.
Effective from 31st March 2014, all guests staying at Dubai hotels, hotel apartments, guests’
house or holiday home will be subject to the Tourism Dirham fee.
The fees are as follows:
AED 20.00 per room or bedroom per nigh
