The annual operating budget, which begins July 1 of each year and ends June 30 of the following year, is the Charleston County Park & Recreation Commission’s financial foundation for providing services to residents. As the county park system grows, we will continue to be sensitive to taxpayer concerns. The budget is made up of several different funds, including a General Agency Fund and an Enterprise Fund. The General Agency Fund relies on revenue from taxes and other sources and accounts for much of the Commission’s operations.
